Independence Day is celebrated every year in India on the 15th of August. Our country got independence from British Rule on 15th August 1947. On Independence Day, we gather to honour India’s freedom and democracy. India is the largest democracy in the world. 

The Independence Day Celebration theme is "Guardians of Democracy: The Role of Iconic Indians Today." Democracy is more than just a system of governance; it is the voice of the people, a platform for equality and justice. But who are the guardians of this democracy? The guardians of democracy are not just lawmakers and politicians. They are also the social activists fighting for justice, the environmentalists safeguarding our natural resources, and the digital pioneers revolutionizing industries with innovative technologies. 

In our celebration today, we will explore the impactful roles of these modern guardians. The real-life stories of a social activist, an environmentalist and a digital entrepreneur add an interesting element to the program. They are truly iconic Indians.

These iconic Indians have laid a significant impact on the nation's progress, proving that, every citizen has the power to bring a better future for the country. Let us celebrate these iconic Indians who continue to fight for a stronger and more inclusive democracy. Let us feel and celebrate the advancements in our country over the years after independence through lovely drama and vibrant dance performances. 

In this 90-minute program, we have put together the flag hoisting, compere’s speech and the entire cultural program flow, consisting of the drama script having the roles/characters with detailed dialogues and the songs for the dance performances.

The celebration plan is appropriate for the participation of students from KG to Class 12. The schools can choose to have participants from a few grades or all the grades from KG to Class 12. Each plan has a main document illustrating the flow of the event along with drama script, Music files and all other required resources.
