Good food habits are extremely important for a student right from a very young age. Good food habits give a healthy body and a sound mind. It helps to avoid diseases, keeps one mentally balanced, controls weight, decrease stress levels and anxiety, keeps him in a good mood, boosts energy and stamina, controls blood pressure, provides good sleep and many other such benefits. The student can perform better in academics only if he is physically and mentally fit.
 
In this 60-minute workshop, we have put together some activities that will make the student have a deeper understanding about the benefits of healthy food consumption. The students will realize the importance of making healthy food choices over junk food choices, as junk food consumption will make them lazy, lethargic, fat and slow.
 
Healthy food choices will lead to a better lifestyle which will boost self-confidence and self-esteem in the students, hence help them in transforming into better performers in all the tasks undertaken in life.
 
The workshop is appropriate for age group: 6 to 10 years, i.e. from Class 1 to 5. The school/ educational institute can decide to conduct it for any one or more grades from Class 1 to 5
 
This plan provides detailed guidelines to the trainer/ teacher who will conduct the workshop. All the necessary resources such as video/ PPT/ display resource/ handouts/ worksheets/ Parents’ Circular etc required to conduct the activities are attached with the plan.
