holistic learning

Plan Details

Navratri is a festival during which we worship Goddess Durga in nine different forms. It is celebrated for nine nights in the month of Ashwin, according to the Hindu calendar. The festival is celebrated with a lot of joy and fervor, not only in India, but across the world.

The assembly is based on highlighting the religious significance of each day of Navratri- a nine-day Hindu festival, woven into a beautiful concept covering the mythological stories associated with each goddess of nine days of Navratri, representing the nine forms of Goddess Durga - Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidatri.

The drama ‘With a sprinkle of nine hues’ covers the nine colours associated to each day of Navratri and designated to each goddess which are royal blue, yellow, white, red, green, grey, orange, sky blue and pink. The authenticity and fervor of the festival are essential elements of the assembly. Wearing the Navratri colours enhances one’s participation in the celebrations and brings about a feeling of oneness. The spirit of Navratri inculcates unity and togetherness in each other, giving a source of shared joy and happiness.
