Plan Details

United Nations has proclaimed 27 February as World NGO Day since 2010.

The day raises awareness about the work and contributions of NGOs and its volunteers.It also aims to inspire collaboration between different NGOs. The initiative is supported by NGOs around the world. The number of NGOs worldwide is estimated to be 10 million.

The purpose of this assembly is to impart knowledge about World NGO Day, the contributions of NGOs towards the society for different social causes. 

A dramatization of a special report ‘Rural Education and Skepticism at the Grass-root Level’ to tackle illiteracy, will provide a deep insight of the thoughts, beliefs, needs and issues of the rural people, even when primary education is free in India, leading to increasing school drop-out rates. 

We shall seea glimpse of the dedication with which the volunteers work for the betterment of the society, in spite of several challenges and the steps they take to overcome challenges. 

The assembly inculcates the quality of social service, charity and helping the needy and the underprivileged, in the students through an interesting activity.

This plan can be used by schools of any country.The schools can conduct it for a grade /few grades/ all the grades from Class 1 to 10.

The plan has a main manual illustrating the flow of the event along with the description of the scripts/ performances/ activities in detail and also includes all the necessary resources for the assembly. Activities involving videos, PPTs are not taken for this assembly as a projector facility may not be available in many school grounds.
