Plan Details

Republic Day of India honours the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect, i.e. 26 January 1950. Schools in India celebrate the day with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm every year.

We have brought a 20 – 25 minute Republic Day Assembly plan for schools based on the theme - ‘Every Vote Matters…’. The focus of this assembly is to bring out the meaning of democracy to the students and its impact on daily lives. Right to vote is an important fundamental right, but more than that a responsibility. The assembly brings to light, the ill effects on people and the society when they vote for a candidate on the basis of wrong reasons.

The aim of the assembly is also to create awareness about the value of each vote in our country and make people more mindful while voting. Let our students be proud to be members of the largest democracy in the world, and work towards the nation’s progress and prosperity.

This plan can be used by schools of India. The schools can conduct it for a grade or few grades from Class 1 to 10.

The plan has a main manual illustrating the flow of the event along with the description of the performances/ activities/ a fun loving drama script having the roles/characters with detailed dialogues.

The plan also includes all the necessary resources for the assembly. Activities involving videos, PPTs are not taken for this assembly as a projector facility may not be available in many school grounds.
