holistic learning

Plan Details

Vigilance Awareness Week (in India) is being celebrated every year around the last week of October/ first week of November and coincides with the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel i.e. 31 October, known to be a man of high integrity.

Vigilance Awareness Week is formulated by the Central Vigilance Commission. The purpose of the week is to generate public awareness about the ill effects of corruption.

Corruption undermines political development, democracy, economic development, environment, people’s health and much more. It is, therefore, imperative that the public be sensitized and motivated towards efforts for weeding out corruption.

E-governance, and systemic changes in procedures, minimal discretion, reduced public interface, technology based procurement and automation will go a long way in reducing corruption.

The 60 minute-activity plan comprises of a theme based drama: ‘Let’s fight against Corruption’, along with other interesting activities.

Through the event, the students will learn about corruption, its ill effects on the society and different ways to curb corruption. The students will know the different places and departments where corruption takes place and adversely affects the future of the citizens and also hamper the progress of the country.

Students from few or all classes (from Class 1 to 10) can take part in the program.
