International Boost Self-Esteem Month, celebrated every February, is dedicated to promoting self-worth and confidence in individuals. Its purpose is universal—encouraging people to value themselves, build confidence, and embrace their abilities. This month emphasizes the importance of nurturing self-esteem as it directly impacts mental health, relationships, and personal growth.

Boosting self-esteem is essential because it empowers individuals to face challenges, overcome setbacks, and develop resilience. High self-esteem fosters a positive mindset, improves decision-making, and enhances overall well-being. It helps individuals build stronger relationships, achieve personal goals, and maintain emotional stability. Celebrating this month reminds everyone to reflect on their strengths, practice self-care, and support others in boosting their confidence, creating a more empowered and optimistic society.

We have brought a 60- minute workshop plan based on - ‘Boost Your Self-Esteem, Brighten Your Future’ Through the interesting activities of the workshop, the students will be introduced to the concept of self-esteem, its importance, and the differences between high and low self-esteem. Students will explore traits, learn strategies to enhance self-esteem and gain skills to face life’s hurdles confidently to improve overall well-being.

The workshop is appropriate for age group: 10 to 14 years, i.e. from Class 5 to 9. The school/ educational institute can decide to conduct it for any one or more grades from Class 5 to 9.
 
This plan provides detailed guidelines to the trainer/ teacher who will conduct the workshop. All the necessary resources such as video/ PPT/ display resource/ handouts/ worksheets/ Parents’ Circular etc required to conduct the activities are attached with the plan.
